Synopsis[]

Rusty and Peanut Butter, having set out from the Elite Four, accidentally wander into the Safari Zone, hiding in the bushes as they observe a Suicune drinking from a pond. Rusty tells Peanut Butter to use a move, but it is overwhelming and leaves nothing but a crater and the bones of the legendary. Rusty is disappointed that they found "another bone-type."

A tour buss drives by and the tour guide, Safari Marge, thinks that they lost their tour group and invites them to join her group. Rusty initially turned her down, saying that he is "wandering the woods unattended". Safari Marge tells him that they're in the Safari Zone's Legendary Pokémon Preserve. Excited that all the legendaries are in one place and cannot escape, Rusty and Peanut Butter join the group, sitting in front of a couple.

The tour continues and Safari Marge points out the legendary birds Lugia, Articuno, and Moltres, as well as a group of "fairy babies". Rusty and Peanut Butter ask about the Safari Zone, such as Rusty thinking it was a place where you "paid money to throw rocks at kangaroos," and Peanut Butter asking how they're able to capture these god-like creatures. Safari Marge explains that they're not legendary because they're gods, but because they are endangered and points to a chat about populations.

She reveals that poachers hunt legendaries because they think they're magic, but legendaries are not different from other Pokémon. Since they are in danger of going extinct, Safari Marge says they need to take care of them or they'll disappear, like dinosaurs or dogs. Rusty says that he misses dogs and Safari Marge tells him that everyone misses dogs.

As Safari Marge says that these legendaries could never survive outside the preserve's walls, she points to Arceus, lacking a mouth and any gripping appendage. Suddenly, a poacher springs out, threatening to sells Arceus to a businessman. Safari Marge angrily confronts the man, saying that she had warned him before about poaching.

The tourist in from of Peanut Butter takes a picture of the encounter as Peanut Butt sheds a tear and declares that he knows his true opponent: humanity's greed. He tells Rusty that he has learned Compassion, but already knows four moves. Thinking that sounds boring, Rusty tells him to forget it. Next wanting to learn Thirst for Vengeance, Rusty agrees.

Peanut Butter wastes no time, turning into an electrical ball of light and exploding the poacher where he stood, allowing Arceus to escape. Safari Marge laughs nervously saying that's going to be a lot of paperwork for her. Peanut Butter says that this is the first page of his conquest. Safari Marge sees where things are headed and says that she'll stay out of his way, even offering to become his dark harold, if he needs one.

As Peanut Butter's rage builds, the wind and rain increase, he says that he originally thought his purpose was to serve, but now believes it is to rule. He vows to bring the world out from mankind's control and into the Eon of Doof.

Rusty naively thinks that he is fully part of this plan, and tells Peanut Butter to return to his Poké Ball.

Six months later, Peanut Butter has successfully subjugated humanity, with Rusty seen among other slaves, hauling rocks near a giant Bidoof Statue. The backbreaking work leaves Rusty complaining, saying that he misses jail.
